If you can hear game audio but your microphone is not working in a game, consider the following:
1. Push to Talk feature
Many games have a Push to Talk function, which requires you to press a specific hotkey to activate the microphone. Some games allow you to disable this function, while others do not.
2. Check for muting
- The microphone cable may be muted using the inline button on the cable.
- The microphone may be muted or turned all the way down in the Sound Control Panel.
- The microphone may be muted in the game settings.
3. Test the microphone
Use a basic recording program to record your voice and play it back. If the recording plays back your voice, the PC is detecting the microphone and it is functioning correctly.
