Troubleshooting Single Side Sound Issues with True Wireless Earbuds
If you experience sound issues on one side of True Wireless earbuds, follow these steps to identify and resolve the problem.
1. Check for Sound in One Ear
Possible Causes: Charging, connection, or device issues.
Action:
- If audio plays in both ears on one device but not another, check the affected audio source for balance adjustments in the app or device settings.
- If the issue is specific to the headphones, it will occur on all connected devices.
2. Single-Side Sound Issues on All Devices
Determine the Cause: Check if the issue is related to power or signal.
Action:
-
Ensure both earbuds turn on and connect to a paired Bluetooth device.
- If only one earbud connects, go to step 4.
-
Try resetting the earbuds as outlined in the manual.
- Note: You will need to remove existing pairings from the master devices before re-associating the earbuds.
3. Check Bluetooth Controls
If Controls Work but Single Side Sound is Missing:
- The entire unit should be sent in for service.
4. Connection Issues
If Only One Earbud Connects:
-
Check if one side is flashing red/green.
- If it is, the earbuds are not paired with each other.
- Follow the manual to “peer pair” them.
5. Charging Issues
If Only One Earbud Powers On:
-
This may indicate a charging issue.
- Note: Bluetooth headphones are shipped in a standby state.
-
Connect them to a USB power source for their initial charge.
- Qi-compatible charging will not wake them up.
6. Ensure Proper Charging Contact
Check Ear Adapters and Ear Fins:
- Ensure earbuds are properly positioned in the charging case.
- Make sure the ear Tips are fully connected to the nozzle
- You should feel the ear tip settle into place when installed
-
If supported, the ear fin band should be flush with the body of the True Wireless Earbud.
- If the band is not flat, the pins may not make contact in the case.
- Remove the ear adapters to test charging contact if unsure.
7. Clean Charging Contacts
Action:
- Clean the charge contacts on the earbuds and charge case using a cotton swab or pencil eraser.
- Test the contact springs in the case by pressing and releasing the contact pins several times with the eraser end of a pencil.
8. Charging Process
If Contacts are Clean:
- Let the headphones charge for 15 minutes.
- Check if the earbud LED comes on.
- If it does, place it back into the case and close the lid to finish charging.
If the LED Does Not Come On:
- Remove both earbuds from the case.
- Use only the earbud that needs charging and place it into the case.
-
Check if the charge LED on the case comes on.
- If it does not: The unit will need to be sent in.
- If it does: Close the case lid for 10 seconds.
-
Open the lid and remove the earbud to check for the earbud LED.
- If the LED does not come on, repeat the previous steps 5-10 times to attempt to recover the battery.
- If it still does not work, the unit will need to be sent in for service.
