If your Sennheiser PC or gaming headset microphone sounds echoey, this is often caused by microphone audio being fed back into the audio channel – known as side tone. The headset itself does not control this; it is managed through your computer or app settings.
Adjusting settings in Windows Sound Control Panel
- Open the Sound Control Panel and go to the Recording tab.
- Right-click the headset entry and select Properties > Listen > uncheck "Listen to this device".
- Disable any other microphones listed in the Recording tab.
- Check your apps for side tone, comfort call, or transparency settings and disable them if present.
