Headphones with Smart Pause use either IR sensors or capacitive sensors.
- IR sensors: Use lenses in the earpieces to detect your ears.
- Capacitive sensors: Measure the distance between the earcups.
If your headphones do not have IR sensors (check your manual), they use capacitive sensors.
If Smart Pause triggers too easily
IR sensors
- Adjust the positioning of the earpiece to ensure the sensor registers correctly.
- If you have earbuds, try a different ear tip or earhook size.
Capacitive sensors
- Turn on the headphones, wait a moment, then put them on your head. This helps the sensor calibrate correctly.
