The final volume you hear depends on several sources working together:
- Your device's system volume
- The app's own volume setting
- The headset's hardware volume control
- Bluetooth signaling (such as Absolute Volume or similar features)
Different devices and operating systems handle these settings in different ways.
Volume is too loud
- Lower the system or media volume on your device.
- Lower the in-app volume (if available).
- Lower the headset's own volume control.
- Check synchronization and safety features in your device's audio or accessibility settings.
- If your OS has Absolute Volume or Media Volume Sync, try toggling it on or off.
- Look for a volume limiter or safety setting and check whether it has been disabled.
- Check HAC (Hearing Aid Compatibility) settings, as some users report this can affect perceived loudness.
Volume is too quiet
- Raise the system or media volume on your device.
- Increase the in-app volume (if available).
- Increase the headset's own volume control.
- Check for a headphone volume limiter or "Reduce Loud Sounds" setting and raise the maximum level.
- If Absolute Volume or Media Volume Sync is on, try turning it off to regain independent control.
- Look for loudness normalization, EQ presets, or other processing and temporarily disable them.
- Try disabling Side Tone / Comfort Calling.
- Compare music (A2DP) to calls (HFP/HSP). If one path is quieter, adjust that path or update firmware.
If these steps do not help
- Update the headset and device firmware or OS.
- Re-pair the headset if needed.
- Test the headset with another phone or computer to isolate the issue.
- Some apps use built-in processing that lowers volume – temporarily disable app processing to check.
