Step 1 – Check power
Remove the headset from the charger, then place it back on. Do the charge lights come on?
- Yes: Proceed to Step 2.
- No: Turn on the headset by pulling the ear pieces apart (Flex 5000: press + or – button). Check for a light on the narrow end of the charger (opposite the cable connections). If a light appears, proceed to Step 2.
If there are still no lights
- Check that the yellow-tipped cable is plugged into the DC socket on the back of the charger.
- Test the outlet with a lamp. If the lamp does not light, try another outlet or wall switch.
- If the outlet works, remove the international adapter from the power supply, rub the metal contacts with a pencil eraser, reattach, and test again.
- If lights still do not come on, the power supply may need replacement or the unit may need service. Contact our Customer Support Team.
Step 2 – Check the connection
Optical (digital) connection
Do not connect the analog 3.5mm cable into the blue socket – this will prioritize the analog connection. Check the LED on the bottom of the transmitter:
- Blinking blue and white: No PCM digital audio signal. Change the source's audio output format to PCM in the Audio/Sound settings. If it still blinks, use the remote for the correct device (TV, cable box, or streaming device) to change its audio output.
-
Solid blue/white: Transmitter and receiver are communicating. If you still have no audio, check that:
- Source volume is turned up (or set to Fixed).
- The optical output is selected on the source device.
- Protective caps have been removed from the optical cable ends.
If you disconnect the optical cable from the transmitter and there is no red light in the cable, the source may not be sending a signal. Check the TV/source settings to enable the optical output.
If both optical and analog cables are connected, use the switch on the back of the transmitter to select which input the headphones receive.
Analog connection
- Make sure you are connected to an audio output, not an input. Sockets labeled "AV/Component In" are inputs and cannot provide audio to the transmitter.
- If connected to an output, check your TV or source menu for an option to enable an external audio system.
