If you are having trouble connecting to the Smart Control App for your AMBEO Soundbar, follow these steps:
1. Check location services and firmware
- Enable location services on your smart device.
- Make sure both the Smart Control App and the AMBEO Soundbar are running the latest firmware.
2. Confirm network connection
- Ensure both your smart device and the soundbar are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- For first-time setup, connect to the 2.4 GHz network. The soundbar must connect to 2.4 GHz before it can access the 5 GHz network.
3. Reset Wi-Fi connection
Turn off Wi-Fi on your smart device for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
4. Test via web browser
On a computer connected to the same network, open a browser and go to http://ambeo to check if the soundbar is reachable.
5. Relaunch the app
Completely close the Smart Control App (do not just minimise it), then relaunch it.
6. Reconnect the soundbar
In the Smart Control App, select Forget Device to remove the soundbar, then use the app to add it as a new device.
7. Power cycle the soundbar
Unplug the AMBEO Soundbar from power for 15 seconds, then plug it back in.
8. Reinstall the Smart Control App
- Delete the Smart Control App from your phone.
- Download and reinstall the app.
- Open the app and follow the prompts to add a new device.
9. Reset the soundbar
If you are still unable to connect, press and hold the reset button on the AMBEO Soundbar for 5 seconds, or use the app to reset it. After resetting, follow the calibration process as guided by the soundbar.
