Our wireless headsets can connect to many audio devices. You just need the right output port and cable or adapter.
Common audio output ports
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- Red and white RCA audio outputs
- Digital audio outputs: optical (TOSLINK) or coaxial
Adapters you might need
- 3.5mm to RCA adapter – to switch between 3.5mm and RCA connections.
- Digital-to-Analog Decoder – converts digital output to analog sound for analog headphones. Decoders are recommended as they do not require app or TV format setting changes.
How to connect
- Find the audio output on your device (TV, DVD player, soundbar, etc.).
- Check which connection your Sennheiser model uses (see the manual or product page).
- Get the right cable or adapter.
- Connect the transmitter to the device and the headphones to the transmitter as directed for your model.
Tips
- If using a digital output (optical or coaxial), you may need a Decoder to play through analog headphones.
- Some TVs mute built-in speakers when external headphones are connected – check your TV audio settings.
- If using optical output, set the device to PCM audio if needed. This is not required when using a Decoder.
- Check the product page for a full list of what is included in the box.
