What’s usually happening
Your headset talks to the phone in two ways:
Audio: Bluetooth Classic (for sound)
The app: Bluetooth -LE (for the Smart Control app
If another device is connected, there may not be room for the -LE connection.
Sometimes a phone OS update changes Bluetooth, so a reset or power cycle can help.
What to check first
If the problem is only on one device, check that device’s other Bluetooth connections.
Some devices can only run 2 Bluetooth connections at once.
Make sure no other device is using Bluetooth to the same phone.
Make sure that location services are active on your device.
Step-by-step fix
-
If the app keeps disconnecting
In the Smart Control app: choose Forget the device.
In the sources Bluetooth settings: forget/unpair the headphones. - Put the headphones in pairing mode
Look for flashing red/blue lights (check your manual for exact steps).
- Pair again
On the phone, open Bluetooth settings and select the headphones from Available Devices.
- Test sound (Bluetooth Classic)
Play audio to confirm the headphones work for sound.
- Connect with the app
Open the Smart Control app and follow the on-screen steps to connect (the -LE connection).
- If it still fails
Power cycle the phone and headphones (turn off, then on).
Try pairing again from the start.
If you still have trouble
Try the app on another device. If the issue happens there too, it may be the model or the phone.
If it works on another device but not your main one, adjust settings on that specific phone, or contact support with your exact model names.
Tip:
Keep both devices close and remove any extra Bluetooth connections you don’t need while pairing.
