What is aptX Low Latency?
Updated
-
aptX Low Latency (aptX LL): Reduces delay between audio and video to typically around 40 ms when both devices support it.
-
aptX Adaptive: A newer option that adjusts bitrate and latency in real time for a better balance of quality and low latency.
How they compare
- If both devices support aptX LL, you may get the lowest possible latency.
- If only aptX Adaptive is available, you will still get strong lip-sync with adaptive tuning and better overall performance.
- For videos and games, aptX LL can improve lip-sync if available. aptX Adaptive is a solid alternative when aptX LL is not supported.
How to improve lip-sync
- Use devices that support aptX Low Latency or aptX Adaptive.
- Keep firmware and software updated on both the source device and headphones.
- If available, enable any low-latency mode on your devices.
