The RS 5000 offers hearing profiles and a speech intelligibility feature to tailor sound for clearer speech and better comfort.
Hearing profiles
- Profile 1: Boosts low-frequency tones for a warm, full sound. High-frequency tones are less piercing.
- Profile 2: Boosts high-frequency tones for crystal-clear sound, especially for sibilants and high-frequency sounds like birds.
- Profile 3: Reduces low-frequency tones so they do not muffle high-frequency sounds.
Default: If no profile is selected, audio is reproduced unchanged.
Speech intelligibility feature
When background noise is present, this feature automatically detects and reduces it to make speech easier to understand. Press the Speech Intelligibility button to turn it on or off.
- Can be used with any hearing profile (1–3).
- Switching to a different hearing profile will automatically turn off the speech intelligibility feature.
Tips
- For clearer speech in noisy environments, try combining Speech Intelligibility with Profile 2.
- After switching profiles, re-enable Speech Intelligibility if you still need it.
