Headphones are made to fit many people. Some wearers feel the headband is tight at first. This usually resolves after a few uses. Stretching the headband can damage it, so proceed with care.
Safer ways to improve the fit
- Use the headband slider to find a snug, comfortable setting.
- Reposition the headband or angle of the earcups.
- If available, try different ear cushions or padding.
- Wear the headphones for short periods over several days to allow them to "break in".
Optional stretching method (use with extreme caution)
This method can damage the headband if done poorly. Do not apply strong pressure.
What you need: A small spacer – for example, a soft object 1–2" wider than the user's head.
- Place the headphones on the spacer so the headband rests on it.
- Leave the headphones on the spacer overnight.
- Do not leave the setup in place for too long. Check the headband daily.
- If you see cracks or bends in the headband, stop right away.
Important: Stretching can crack or permanently damage the headband and may affect warranty.
