Make sure the headphones are not actively connected via Bluetooth. iOS defaults to Bluetooth when available – if in doubt, turn off Bluetooth while setting up the dongle.
Connect the BTD 700 while the phone is unlocked. iPhones require permission to use USB accessories and may not recognise the dongle if locked.
When the iPhone asks what type of device is connected, select "Headphones."
If the connection type prompt does not appear, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety > USB Audio Accessories to ensure proper recognition.
If audio stops working when the iPhone locks
Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and enter your passcode.
